Angelica Panganiban - a Filipino American presenter on television, model and actress - is an American comedian. The youngest contestant in show history and second in the show's history, she placed 2nd. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in 2012. She was just 4 years old at the time. The cause of her disease was a severe strain of the strep bacteria. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston was forced to put Angelica Hale in ECMO Life-Support because she required life-saving medical interventions. Her condition became severe and she had kidney failure and organ failure that didn't recover. Her new norm was hemodialyses and peritoneal-dialysis. After an eighteen-day stay in the hospital Angelica nearly died but was on the road to recuperation. After a year and a half of dialysis Angelica was ready to undergo the most significant operation she had ever undergone- her kidney transplant. Her mother was the one who was the one to donate her kidney. In September 2013, Angelica and her mom went through a successful kidney transplantation surgery at two amazing hospitals located close to one another- the University Hospital of Memory and Children's Health of Atlanta Egleston. Angelica Hale pursued her dream of being a star from the beginning.
